November 22nd, 2019 – Licensing International are the leading facilitator in the worldwide licensing industry, bringing different kinds of licensing entities together from businesses such as character, entertainment, art and fashion, to name a few. Next Thursday the 28th of November, close to 250 industry executives will gather for this special event which will see Licensing International Australia host their second awards evening at the Sandringham Yacht Club.
The Australian & New Zealand licensing industry generates close to $5 billion dollars of annual revenue and the 2019 Australian & New Zealand Licensing Awards will recognise excellence in the retail, product and licensing categories. This event will showcase the amazing work by companies across Australia & New Zealand and the licensing activities undertaken in the market over the year past.
This year’s awards evening will also see the original Wiggles group (Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page and Jeff Fatt) join Fred Gaffney from Gaffney Global Licensing with their induction into the Licensing International Australian & New Zealand Hall of Fame.
The original Wiggles toured every state and territory in Australia, becoming the biggest selling children’s entertainment artists on video. The group has sold over 30 million CDs and DVDs and have recorded over 1500 songs. The New York Times called them, “The Band that Rocks the Cradle”.
Four executives from The Walt Disney Company (Jess Galba, Andrew Fogerty, Daniel Iaconis, Lauren Smith) and Scott O’Rafferty from Australian Toy Distributors will be recognised for graduating from the Certificate of Licensing Studies by Licensing International, the only recognised course in this field. They will become recognised as Official Licensing Practitioners.
The 2019 Australian & New Zealand Licensing Awards will be supported by the following event partners: Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Hasbro, The Walt Disney Company, Two Bulls, Smiffy’s, Dependable Solutions, HeadStart and Mattel.
