Pacific Fair, Gold Coast, and Sanrio proudly announce the opening of the Hello Kitty and Friends Café Gold Coast.
The café officially commenced operations on Thursday, 23 October and it is exciting new concept by Susie Wong, developed in partnership with Haven Global and Sanrio.
“Following the incredible response in Melbourne, we’re thrilled to bring the Hello Kitty and Friends Café to Pacific Fair – the perfect setting to celebrate the joy of kawaii culture,” said Silvia Figini, Chief Operating Officer of Sanrio (EMEA, India and Oceania) and Mr Men (Worldwide). “At Sanrio, our mission is to bring people together and foster genuine social connection. Opening spaces like this café allows fans to fully immerse themselves in our characters’ core values of kindness and friendship in a truly engaging way.”
The café offers a multi-sensory experience across three uniquely themed spaces, creating the ultimate destination for fans and visitors to snap the perfect selfie amid its beautiful and playful interior.
Guests can enjoy the Hello Kitty Corner, featuring take-away coffee and freshly baked Japanese patisseries, or explore the Cinnamoroll World – the café’s stunning centrepiece. This immersive area showcases intricate ceiling art, custom-designed tableware, and delightful details celebrating Sanrio’s beloved characters.
The adjoining merchandise store offers an exclusive range of limited-edition apparel, collectibles, and bespoke souvenirs, including monthly drops inspired by Sanrio icons and the vibrant Gold Coast lifestyle. The collection has been brought to life by illustrator Travis Price under the art direction of Eddie Zammit.
