Haven Global, Australia’s leading brand extension and licensing agency, has officially unveiled the Hello Kitty Café in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD — a landmark moment for Sanrio fans and kawaii culture enthusiasts alike.

As the visionary force behind this immersive experience, Haven Global has once again demonstrated its leadership in curating world-class brand activations, bringing the beloved Hello Kitty and Friends to life in a way never before seen in Australia.
Opening its doors to eager fans, the café is a vibrant celebration of all things cute and iconic, thoughtfully brought together by Art Direction, Eddie Zammit and Illustration by Travis Price. The artwork throughout the space pays homage to Melbourne’s unique cityscape, including exclusive illustrations featuring Hello Kitty and Friends alongside iconic local landmarks such as the city’s famous trams and Melbourne Central’s historic Clock Tower.

The café not only delights guests with kawaii-themed food and drinks, but also houses a dedicated Cinnamoroll zone — an irresistibly fluffy and photogenic nook perfect for date days and selfies alike. Fans can also browse a curated selection of exclusive merchandise, including limited-edition signed prints from Travis Price.
This milestone follows Haven’s successful celebration of Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary in 2024, where the company partnered with industry leaders to deliver a high-impact licensing program. In 2025, Haven continues to lead the kawaii movement by pioneering this unique café concept — the first of its kind in Melbourne, and a signal of more experiential rollouts to come.

The launch of the Hello Kitty Café highlights Haven Global’s ongoing commitment to delivering immersive, interactive experiences that elevate global brands while celebrating local culture. With Melbourne as the starting point, this is just the beginning of even more exciting developments on the horizon.
