Last week the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominations for the International Emmy® Kids Awards. There are a total of 12 nominees across 3 categories and the nominations span 10 countries: Australia, Brazil, Finland, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recognises excellence in television produced outside of the United States. The Academy’s yearly schedule of events includes the prestigious International Emmy® Awards held in New York, The International Emmy® Kids Awards and a series of industry events such as Academy Day, The International Emmy® World Television Festival.
The hit show ‘Oddbods’, produced by Singapore-based studio One Animation, has been nominated for an Emmy® for each season. This is the 3rd Emmy® Nomination for Oddbods. Oddbods is a non-dialogue comedy series that is broadcasted in over 100 countries on several networks including free-to view channels such as ABC and subscription providers such as Netflix and Amazon. The show features seven distinct characters and follows them as they survive the perils of everyday life, unintentionally turning ordinary situations into unexpected, extraordinary, and always humorous events. Oddbods stories reflect people’s personalities and everyday life, and with caricature and charm they represent the human experience in the most positive, life affirming way.
